For Andrew and Dina Parise and the Parise Racing team, this weekend at the Northeast Outlaw Pro Mod Assoc. race did not turn out as well as they had expected, on the track but off the track was another story.

“The cars are running very well. “ Stated Andrew Parise . “Dave Jordan, our Crew Chief is doing a great job on both cars. We are qualifying well, and are making good, solid passes. We had a few glitches this weekend that caused us to go out early in the game. My ’53 Montana Bros. Corvette had problems, and I did not make it out for first round. It’sO.K. We will be back at it for Atco. ”

Andrew qualified with a 6.098 @ 236.34 MPH and Dina qualified with a 6.190 @ 229.94. 2nd and 5th respectively. When it came time for first round, Andrew did not make the call. Regardless, the crew continued to work hard. “We could not do what we do without the help of Dave Jordan our Crew Chief, and crew member Charlie Saccoccio. Also on hand was Nick Montana (Montana Bros. Pro Chassis Dasign), James Montana and Dean Mauro. We appreciate their hard work!.” Stated Andrew Parise.

“ My ’63 Tim McAmis Corvette was running well all day.” Stated Dina Parise. “I went up for first round, and BAM! She smokes the tires and has wicked tire shake! I’m out! From hero to zero in a split second. One minute they congratulate you on the last race win, the next minute they console you. That’s drag racing! No worries, I’m ready for next week!”

Maybe things on the track were not going well, but up in the suites at Maryland International Raceway, there was much to cheer about.

Through Parise Racing’s Vettes for Vets program, there were many Military members in attendance as VIP’s for the NEOPMA race. The members ranged from active duty, retired Veterans, to Wounded Warriors.

The VIP’s were treated to a great day of racing as well as good food and a bird’s eye view of all of the action. All this followed by a well deserved introduction to the crowd, made by Johnny Rocca. Not to mention Johnny’s donation to the Wounded Warrior Project!

Parise Racing would like to thank MIR for accommodating the Military members so well. Thank you especially to Royce Miller, Bryan Starner, Johnny Rocca and Fabian for making the day so special for the ‘Vettes for Vets’ VIP’s, and for supporting the program itself.

Parise Racing would also like to thank Rustic River Bar and Grill for providing a wonderful lunch for the VIP’s.

Lastly, a special thank you to ;Pete Berner and John Montecalvo, of the MMPSA for taking the time out to meet with the VIP’s. Not only did they meet with the VIP’s, they gave them some great items to take home. Your generosity and caring was certainly appreciated.

Parise Racing’s next stop will be ADRL at Virginia Motorsports Park May 21-22.
